This week is Hate Crime Awareness Week, so we want to draw attention to the ways in which people with a learning disability can experience hate crimes. Below is a guide for carers and supporters regarding how to support someone that has been or could be the victim of a hate crime.
We recommend that people with a learning disability contact the police if they have experienced a hate crime, or speak to their key worker.
At East Kent Mencap, keeping our members safe and well is our top priority at all times.
