Would you like to take on a challenge to raise money for people with a learning disability to achieve more amazing things? Join us this Spring and make a real difference.
During April and May, we are encouraging everyone to choose a challenge that inspires them. You might like to learn how to bake a cake and host a coffee morning for friends so they can try it, make a cushion to sell to your family, create a bird feeder and count how many birds use it, or perhaps you would like to go on your bike every day for a week or give swimming a go.
The great thing about our Spring Forward Challenge is that the challenge is your choice and you can do as many challenges as you like.
We are here to help with your fundraising
Whether this is your first time taking part in the Spring Forward Challenge or you have done it before, we are here to help.
We have fundraising kits available for £3 each. They are packed with fundraising ideas, a money-collecting box, sponsorship form and a good luck card from our CEO, Jason Gerlack. Please get in touch with Jane and Louise at funds@eastkentmencap.co.uk if you would like a fundraising pack.
We would love to hear about your challenge, see your photos and find out how you are getting on so we can support you every step of the way.
Stephen and Patrick from GOLD (Getting On with Learning Difficulties) were the first to sign up for this year’s challenge!
Raising money for East Kent Mencap
Please ask your family and friends to sponsor your Spring Forward Challenge. It doesn’t matter how small the donation is, as every penny raised from the Spring Forward Challenge 2024 will go directly towards activities and equipment at our Hubs.
Your sponsors can make donations on our website here. Please ask your sponsors to add in your name and challenge in the comments box.
Thank you for your support
Your support will make a massive difference in the lives of people with a learning disability. Whether you are taking part yourself, supporting someone to take on a challenge, helping us to spread the word or generously sponsoring a challenge, we really appreciate your help.
Thank you so much from everyone at East Kent Mencap.
Natasha has signed up and can’t wait to get started with her challenge to bake a cake.
