We enjoyed fabulous royal celebrations at our East Kent Mencap Hubs to mark King Charles III Coronation.
In the lead up to the big day:
Margate Expressive Art Group made wonderful Coronation lollipops.
Ramsgate Hub made jeweled crowns to wear at their party.
GOLD made colourful bunting.
Swale Hub completed fun Coronation activity sheets and learned more about what the Coronation means.
Herne Bay Hub created a spectacular giant crown to go on their Hub gate as an impressive entrance to mark the historic moment.
There were plenty of activities and games to enjoy at the Coronation parties, a firm favourite was Bingo at GOLD and playing ping pong at Margate Hub.
Finally, it wouldn’t be a royal British celebration without a cup of tea, homemade cakes, and treats.
At the Margate Hub cookery sessions members made Lemon Drizzle, Victoria Sponge, Sugar-Free Brownies, Sausage Rolls, and Cheese Straws.
