Voting in an election is important, as it is your chance to say how you think the country should be run. To be able to vote you need to register, the deadline to do this in person is Tuesday 18th June and by post is Wednesday 19th June. Find out more about registering to vote here.
You can only vote in person if you bring certain types of photo ID (Voter ID). Please find the kinds of Voter ID that are allowed on the MyVoteMyVoice website here. On this website, you can also stay up-to-date with the election campaign.
