Join Our Team: Fundraising Manager
Location: Ramsgate, Kent | Salary: £37,000 | Full-Time
East Kent Mencap is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Fundraising Manager to help expand our mission by driving impactful fundraising efforts. In this role, you’ll play a key part in growing our network of supporters, enhancing our visibility, and generating essential funds to support people with learning disabilities.
About the Role
As our Fundraising Manager, you’ll lead creative campaigns and cultivate valuable partnerships that sustain our programs. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and Engaging Funders: Proactively researching potential funders and leading successful bid submissions to secure new and ongoing funding.
- Building Donor Relationships: Cultivating meaningful connections with donors, partners, and media to increase engagement and financial support.
- Managing Fundraising Strategies: Overseeing key fundraising streams, including individual giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, and legacy gifts.
- Team Development and Leadership: Building and leading a collaborative team to support fundraising, marketing, and communications initiatives.
- Event Coordination: Planning and promoting fundraising events with support from volunteers, partners, and the community.
- Storytelling and Branding: Crafting compelling narratives highlighting our mission and boosting brand awareness.
What We Are Looking For
- Experienced Fundraiser: At least three years of experience in a fundraising or similar role within a non-profit or charity setting, or relevant qualifications.
- Versatile Fundraising Skills: Knowledgeable in various fundraising techniques, including digital, community, and corporate fundraising.
- Engaging Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to connect with and inspire diverse audiences.
- Strategic Visionary: Skilled in creating and implementing short- and long-term fundraising strategies.
