Our Hubs in Herne Bay, Margate, Ramsgate, and Swale enjoyed unforgettable Halloween celebrations.
At Herne Bay, they transformed the Hub into a spooky wonderland. The day began with a Halloween scavenger hunt and games, followed by a delicious lunch. Everyone enjoyed trying out new fun games and visiting the specially created sensory scare room. In the afternoon, there was a disco which gave everyone a chance to show off their fabulous costumes.
Swale Hub organised a fabulous Halloween disco at the Sheerness Co-Op Club. Local businesses supported the event with amazing prizes for the raffle, raising an impressive £355 which will go directly towards trips for the people who use the Swale Hub services. Party-goers danced the night away in fantastic Halloween costumes, creating long-lasting happy memories.
Ramsgate and Margate Hub joined together for a Halloween Fun Day, filled with an array of activities, such as creating Halloween wreaths and playing Witches Hoopla. There was an entertaining Halloween music quiz and a lively disco, plus a catwalk for everyone to show off their awesome costumes.
30 GOLD (Getting On with Learning Difficulties) and Thanet Hub members enjoyed attending in person the Halloween disco at Ramsgate Hub, which was also available virtually. DJ Tris played great tunes to get everyone dancing, there was a Halloween raffle and competition for the best costume prize – it was a tricky decision as there were so many great outfits!
We extend our thanks to everyone who participated, contributed, and made these events possible. Your amazing support inspires us to continue to create inclusive and joyful moments for everyone who uses East Kent Mencap services.
